My New (to me) Ride
I bought a new Lexus i350 just over a year ago. Pretty soon after buying it I was having second thoughts. It's too small. It has WAY too much road feel. For a "luxury" brand, it is actually bare of bells and whistles. The final straw came when Mrs. Director's 84 year-old grandmother got in and declared in her accented English, "Dis seems to me a woman car." And sure enough, I started noticing that all the other i350s on the road were being driven by chicks women.
So taking a page from my brother, I started looking at used luxury cars. And rather than going through the dealerships I wanted to look at small, niche companies that specialized in taking off-lease cars, fixing them up, and getting them back to market.
Long story short I found Vantage Motors in my area and ended up with a very nice, low mileage, fully loaded BMW 530i at about the same price I managed to sell my Lexus for:
This thing is fully loaded and gives me what I think I need at this point in my life: a "bubble" to insulate me from the world when I drive. Plus it looks way cool.
